What is an Intensive Outpatient Program?
Our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) is designed to provide alcohol addiction treatment and drug addiction treatment for individuals living in and around Indian River County. Through the accountability and structure we provide, our Intensive Outpatient Program can help get you started on the road to long-term Recovery. Following a clinical assessment, this level of care may be an excellent alternative to residential (“in-patient) treatment. IOP allows you the flexibility to attend an evidence-based recovery program while meeting your family, work, or school obligations. IOP allows you to begin recovery while not missing out on the things that you value.
IOP is a more intense form of outpatient therapy because there is more accountability and structure involved. There are specific requirements and expectations that include:
- You must attend a minimum of three group meetings per week
- You must attend a minimum of twelve (12) weeks of treatment
- You must expect and submit to random weekly Urine Analysis drug testing
- You should be available for either one-on-one, couples, or family weekly therapy
There are other guidelines regarding behavior and confidentiality, but the main difference is we provide the ACCOUNTABILITY that may be missing from 12-Step meetings and other alcohol addiction treatment. Because IOP is conducted in a clinical setting with specific expectations, our Intensive Outpatient Program provides exactly the kind of structure that can produce improved results for Long-Term Recovery.
Additionally, following your clinical assessment, it may be determined that you require a higher level of care such as residential treatment. Upon completion of a residential treatment program, an Intensive Outpatient Program can be an important and critical part of your aftercare. Vero Beach Recovery Center is an ideal option as we serve Indian River County and the surrounding counties.
