NEUROFEEDBACK
Neurofeedback (Biofeedback) is based upon clinical studies that date back to the 1970s and has resulted in a cutting-edge method of teaching the brain to function in a more balanced and “normal” way. Studies have demonstrated that regulating brain wave activity can reduce or even eliminate symptoms of specific mental health conditions. This treatment is also referred to as Brain Mapping and Brain Training and is drug-free, non-invasive, and safe for any age.
INTERVENTIONS
It is not unusual for a loved one to need external motivation for them to accept help. We provide Event Interventions with a certified interventionist who can help the individual and the family during these times of crisis. The staff will help in de-escalating the situation while providing a non-judgmental interaction to determine the best option(s).
GROUP THERAPY
Vero Beach Recovery Center Group therapy is a method of psychotherapy involving a trained therapist working with several people at the same time. Depending on the condition, Group therapy can be used as a stand-alone treatment. However, most often, it is integrated into an overall treatment plan that may include individual, couples, or family therapy.
FAMILY THERAPY
Whether you like it or not, when a loved one has an Active Addiction, it can have a devastating impact on the entire family. The stress involved with not knowing what your loved one is doing; if your loved one is safe; or where they are, can take a significant toll on the mental and physical health of the family. One of the reasons for this is the Family Equilibrium is affected. It is critical when there is an imbalance in one or more of the Family Units that the members realize the need for Family Therapy as a means to find this equilibrium again.
